We Miss The Performance!!
I think is time management problem of the organisor...haiz...5 minutes before the countdown,my group member and i were prepared well at there.Suddenly,the people on the stage started to countdown..... My group,Sprint missed the performance.
However, we still shouting "Merdeka!" and jumped like mad following the drum beats. We became wild ad...hahh...we stood in the first row in front of the stage and we knocked our bamboo sound tool randomly.
Actually for all of us on there, are we really knew what that really means of Merdeka?Merdeka =Independence??Are we merdeka??Are we freedom??
Suddenly i remembered one of the lessons before the 31August 2010.
On 23rd August morning,I was having two talk: one was "FROM NOTHING TO SOMETHING" .The lecturers told us that most of the time our brain were fulled of "rubbish" and we were need a lot of subtraction to simplify our "complicaed" mind-set.
Second talk was "RETHINK MERDEKA", do we as Malaysian really MERDEKA? Dr. Shardy asked.
For my opinion,we were really Merdeka on the year 1957 when Tunke Abdul Rahman shouted Merdeka.On That time,our malaysian were free from other country colonization.However, Merdeka has a big different of meaning between past and present time. Tunku Abdul Rahman shout MERDEKA because Malaysian can manage our own Malaysia freely.Today, Independance always become the excuse.Our people thought they can do anything without controlled.As a result, moral corruption among human beings happened.Nowadays,we are free to do anything BUT always with a guideline or law.So,i think we were became more and more "civilised".
In conclusion,what the real meaning of Merdeka?It is all about how u think ....
Anywhere,i still will celebrete the countdown celebration once a year and shout "Merdeka" unless we can feel the spirit of independence..hahh....
