BIG TALK(Bamboo Interest Group)

Yesterday(4 OCT 2010) ,there was a big event about BIG.....all the Bamboos interest group were attend included the other school lecturers ,even from the engineering campus ...and of course me too......XD
First of all,En. wan b gave a talk(its quite long!!)

say frankly,As a 1st year and 1st sem student,i quite doubt about our effort of the programme "The APEX lead to 2012".Especially when we try to connect the bamboo struts for exhibition,we faced many problems.Most the problems was the connectors not enough fit!!(I think we should know it in the beginning).From here,i think that if all the struts be connected to build the IBU(big dome),will it successful??I don't know....@.@
Maybe i have not enough explore....maybe i have not enough confident... maybe i have not enough concern...or maybe......
However, after the talk i get some changes in my mind!!
-I saw lot of efforts that the BIG did(plan,meeting,conference)
-i still remember when Wan B told that we had applied the 3P(people,place,principle).Although we lack of money....but we still can continue....yeah...

Question 1:
How we can get the large amount of bamboo?
For ur info,our bamboos were different from oversea.Normally in the bunch of bamboos,the youngeg bamboo will grow outside while the mature will grow at inside.It is hard to get.
We can get the bamboos which destroyed in the logging activity.There were 10% of green world was covered of bamboos..so we believe that we have enough for the BIG plan.

Question 2:
How this project contribute to APEX?
Honest to tell,we can't take anyone else as Model coz this will made ourselves being left behind. We still need to come out with new idea in order to contribute somethings new.

Question 3:
Izit the Ibu and Pondok r just designed for flood on 2012?What if the earthquake come?or maybe Tornado?
We told that everything is just the beginning..like the 1st year studies...the thgs would not be too hard...but any possibility will be happen on 2012..use the creative way to applied on others...

Question 4:
How the bamboo play role in medical field?
Bamboos can cure 'gila babi'....need to be researched....

After the talk,i realized that it really a BIG programme,it involved the BIG effort,it need the BIG cooperation,believe,unity and sacrificed!!
Maybe we cannot force people to believe the BIG plan but at least we can try to inspire others....because we had another 3 elements:intention,act and product.
So,should we put more effort and the believe on this programme ??I will....=p
